Oakland County's Premier
Residential Community

Presented by:

When visiting the Lakes of Indianwood, one can't help but think of Northern Michigan.  With its picturesque lakes and stands of tall, shrouded pines, the area has maintained many of the pristine characteristics that attracted settlers to Orion Township more than 170 years ago.

Encompassing 400 acres of densely wooded property, 90 acres of tranquil lakes and streams and 125 acres of untouched wetlands, the custom built homes in the Lakes of Indianwood are constructed with respect for the natural beauty that is an integral part of each home site.

Local Amenities and Nearby Attractions
Despite its semi-rural locale, the Lake Orion/Oxford area is within 20 minutes of such notable stops as the Palace of Auburn Hills, Pine Knob Music Theatre, Meadowbrook Music Theatre, Pontiac Silverdome, Canterbury Village and the new Great Lakes Crossing Outlet Mall.

Recreationally, there are several golf courses in the Lake Orion/Oxford area, with more than 20 courses found in a 20-mile radius of the Lakes of Indianwood. The exclusive Indianwood Country Club, featuring two, 18-hole championship courses, is across the street from the Lakes of Indianwood. Polly Anna Trail runs adjacent to the Lakes of Indianwood and extends to downtown Lapeer.  Also nearby is the Paint Creek Trail, which extends from Lake Orion to Rochester.  Both trails provide miles of biking and running opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts. There are 23 churches in the Lake Orion area and 19 more in neighboring Oxford.

Area Schools
The Lake Orion School District serves more than 5,300 students in its new Class A high school, two middle schools and seven elementary’s.  A new elementary school, Paint Creek Elementary, will serve for the Lakes of Indianwood subdivision.

Lakes of Indianwood: Protecting the Past for the Future
Despite the development vibrancy of the Orion Township area, the Lakes of Indianwood remains in harmony with nature. From its winding rivers to the splendor of the Polly Anne Nature Trail, the land remains the same, as it was hundreds of years ago.

All builders must adhere to strict architectural and engineering restrictions to preserve the natural beauty of the land. Extraordinary care was also taken with installation of water and sewer lines in order to protect nearby trees and vegetation. The Lakes of Indianwood offers a variety of large, lush land sites for building, along with private and easy lake access.

At the Lakes of Indianwood, we respect nature and what has taken thousands of years to grow and prosper in and around our housing community. Our mission is to provide a residential community that is as much a retreat as it is a home.
